After your surgery into a woman and your vagina is all healed up and ready to go does it get naturally most..wet...lubricated what ever you want to call it......or does it stay dry since it was artificially created...?

I haven't had my vagina installed yet, but this depends on the surgical technique that is used. I have a friend in Nebraska whose surgeon did a good job and she says she has no problem self lubricating.

Like Katie says, it really all depends on which surgery you have. If you have the peritoneal pull-through method then yes you'll have one that lubricates nearly constantly from what I understand. I've even heard it said that there's so much lubrication women who've had that method have to wear panty liners all the time.

Then there are surgeons who use the tunica vaginalis tissue in their surgeries and that's an epithelial tissue (self-lubricating) too but I don't think it lubricates nearly as much as the PPT surgery.

I've also heard some women say that they lubricate after they've had the standard penile inversion method. But I don't know if that's just wishful thinking, or if it's really happening. I haven't had my installed yet so none of this info comes from my own experience. I just read a LOT and these are the things I've learned.

Hope that helps

a trans woman's vagina doesn't just "heal up and is ready to go."
She will have to dialate at least once a week for the rest of her life.

There can be complications, follow up surgeries, infection as well as a life-time pain and discomfort.
This again depends on the method applied. Mucosa will never close up, and needs no dilation after an initial healing time. There are currently three methods to create a neo vagina with mucous tissue. The most common one, the penile reversion method will required dilation for the rest of the life.
There are some experiments going on, lining the penile skin with a matrix obtained from the discarded section of the urethra. This is mucous tissue, and one hopes it will act like the other mucous tissue, and not heal shut, and develop some self lubrication.

So really it depends on how good of a surgeon you get?

I've had the surgery and do have some self lubrication. I don't think it is sufficient without being supplemented with extra lube. Then again, cis women my age have a similar situation of lack of lubrication. As for urethra tissue, it sounds good, but in my experience it is not a benefit because it swells so badly with stimulation.

Moni, that could be the reason they use it only as a matrix? It could very well mimic the vaginal tissue of natal women? We know that their vaginal tissue swells upon sexual stimulation.
It is experimental currently only. I might try it, if it would be offered to me, the same as I will try the new G-Spot method. That is why they try to make a 3" deep vagina for me. This is the most depth that would not require daily dilation, but it is deep enough to create a G-Spot in the natal position.

It’s worth noting that we should define lubricant as even normal skin lubricates with some oils and sweat so there is always some albeit small and then it goes up depending on surgery, but honestly it won’t hurt to use extra lube as it is better then friction burn.
