SignUp Now!I can't imagine this is the women's fault. I guess there are different standards for men's and women's games in terms of how the game is played and I assume the national governing body which cuts those deals with the broadcasters could have done more to promote women's games. And then there is always an option to transfer some funds to get the women's pay up to the men's level, if they are willing to do this. I guess they were not.Good for them! There was some discussion about equal pay for Aussie Rules Women footballers, but it just wasn’t possible. Their games are simply not of the standard of the mens, so can’t attract broadcasting deals, or major sponsors. In reality there simply isn’t enough money generated to do it!
