How many of you read non-fiction books about the transgender community and other related subjects now? Of course I have already read Jennifer Finney-Boylan's She's Not There, Sarah McBride Tomorrow Will be Different, Becoming Nicole by Amy Ellis Nutt, both of Janet Mock's books, Love Lives Here by Amanda Jette-Knox, Stuck in the Middle w/You also by Jennifer Finney Boylan, Self-ish by Chloe Schwenke, Happier as a Woman by Martina Giselle-Ramerez, Yes you are Trans Enough by Mia Violet, Super Late Bloomer and My Life in Transition by Julia Kaye, My Sister by Selenis Leyva & Marizol Leyva (she's from Orange is the New Black Netflix series), American Transgirl (novel) by Faith DaBrooke and Tranny by Laura Jane Grace to name a few already.

Please list any titles I have not already included above since I am interested in reading any new books related to transgender history, biography, or other related social issues. Maybe some of us could start a transgender book club sometime to discuss these books.

As a medical scientist, who is also Asperger's, I do not understand the desire to read about the trans life of others? I don't want to copy their life, but want to live my own life.
I live full time as a woman for quite a few years now, and consider my own life my biggest adventure. If I want to learn anything about the medical side of people like us, I read medical papers dealing with it.

WOW, you have quite a library! As Linde, I have read some research and medical papers. While I enjoyed reading a couple of the books you mentioned, I have learned more by talking to some of the people who are on this forum as well as from living it.

Hugs,
Mike

One book I found to be very emotional is The Danish Girl, by David Ebershoff. Best book I've read yet. Another good book is, Shadow Life. Aerospace, Love, and Secrets. A true story by Jenna Ware. Both excellent reads.

I read Caitlyn Jenner's autobiography. It was...a book. Mostly I didn't connect with it.

This person does mean nothing to me, I actually dislike her quite a bit!

I'm old, so I read Christine Jorgensen, Jan Morris, and Renee Richards.

A very good book, with lots of bits to make one think.
