Thought I'd start a blog for my future rants and raves and other things of no import to anyone else.

A link to my introduction thread for background.

Hi Tonya,              01 January 2020

Did I miss a link or something? I was looking for "Tantalizing Tales of Terror and Transport" and found nada.

I'll come back if I see you have posted.

Best Always, Love

Hey Christine
Thanks for stopping by.

Nothing to add yet, just thought I'd make a blog thread for myself.  Didn't want to keep posting in the introductions thread.

Maybe I need one of those under construction images for now.

Since Tapatalk is working again I'm finally getting around to updating my blog.

Big news is finally getting my surgery scheduled. Wont be until July 8th.  Way further out than I hoped but a week prior to getting it set I'd heard might not be until September.  Not crazy about the mid summer recovery and I will miss a good sized chunk of prime golfing weather.
There is a potential issue in that our insurance plan year starts on June 1st and its possible that we will change plans, throwing a wrench into the already approved surgery.  A potential positive is the chance to lower my out of pocket costs with a lower deductible plan.

So the details as I I know them.

Surgery scheduled for July 8th.
Pre-OP appointment is June 25th.
Doctor is Katherine Gast at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. It will be the second major surgery I've had, both there.  The first was when I was a student I had to have a cyst removed from my inner ear.

I'm having a limited or zero depth vaginoplasty or vulvoplasty.  My reasons for choosing this procedure are many.

Not being sexually interested in men, or other penetration, the zero depth becomes an option. The factors that led me to choose it then are no need for pre-op electrolysis, no dilation and a shorter hospital stay.

With the later date than I hoped, turns out I'd have probably had the time to get the needed hair removal. That would have been costly though, more than just the cost of the actual electrolysis. Laser might have been an option for some of it bug either way I'd have needed to travel at least to Madison or Milwaukee if not Chicago to get it done.  The electrologist I use for my face told me without my asking that she won't do that area.

My job is not physically demanding so without the need to dilate so often at first, I should be able to return to work a bit sooner.  Barring complications of course, my plan is to return to work on August 3rd, so just shy of 4 weeks.

Congratulations  on locking in your surgery detail Tonya.  At least you can now plan your year, and so can your employer. I have chosen the same type of surgery for the same reasons , and less ongoing maintenance. I hope your surgery brings you the peace you need. Mine is likely to occur mid summer here, meaning I will miss out on my favourite summer activities next year, but will be able to wear a swimsuit from then on!

Hugs,

Allie

Thanks Allie.

Not looking forward to being mostly stuck inside in the middle of summer. At least I'll be able to walk outside when I'm able to start moving more.  Was thinking I might try to get a few extra electrolysis sessions in while I'm off work.

Hey something to post about.

Milestone:  3 years ago today I stuck a little blue pill under my tongue for the very first time, beginning my effort to make my outside look more like my head knew it should.  Overall I'm extremely pleased with the results, though I was hoping there would be more boobage involved.

I've not given up hope on the breast growth  though.  My levels had been lower than optimal for transition and I did get my doctor to raise my dose a month ago. Hoping with that and being able to quit spiro in July I'll  be able to see some more growth. Will give it a full 5 years before deciding if I want BA.

I think I got a boost in growth after my orchi.  Even though I did not have much testosterone at all, it must have been enough to give me some facial hair, and it slowed my boob growth.  I gained a entire bra size in a very fe month only after the orchi, and I think that I am now on a rather high dose of injectable E I might get some more growth, too.  At least do my boobs hurt all the time again.  But once they have reached a certain size, I think a lot of growth comes into widening them to make them look more fuller.  I am now on this higher dose since November, and I fill my bras way better now, and I might have to think about buying new bras again in a few months, if this continuous.  I don't want much more in size anymore, cause I do not really like to wear a bra, and if they get much bigger, I would need to wear a bra all the time.  Their current size of 38 D is still perky enough to get along without wearing a bra!

So yes, once you can free your body of all this hidden testosterone, you might get some extra breast growth, but your final size is still limited by your genetics.  Both, my mother and my sister were pretty well endowed on their chests, so another size is still possible for me, but I hope very much that that would be it.  I hear my daughter complaining almost every day about her rather large chest, and telling me that she would be willing to swap with me in a New York minute!

Tonya, will be looking forward to hearing your Tasty Tails coming up this year. I did GCS in the summer. You will be so focused on the life changing experience, I doubt you will care much about missing out on other stuff. This was my first summer in three that I wasn't recovering from surgery, so you will appreciate next summer for it's freedom. This summer is for your dream come true. Congrats!

Yeah, there is that darn genetic thing getting in my way. Based on mom and big sister, I may get a little more.  Based on little sister it might be hopeless.  Most of my hope for improvement is that my estrogen levels have been well below what I believe needed for transition since at least Dec 2018, hence my asking for dose increase.

Monica, a Tasty Tail is one of the benefits (curses?)  of estrogen that I have not received. I've been hitting the gym in an effort to improve that area,  but doubt I'll ever be referred to that way.  I'll take an "eh, not half bad".  You'll have to settle for a possibly Tantalizing Tale.

My intent in trying to get my surgery in the winter was to miss as little of the golf season as possible.  I'll be missing out on  2 months of the prime Wisconsin golf weather.  Maybe it will force me to practice rather than play so I won't suck when I am able to get back on the course.

Tonya, so the real reason for the zero depth vaginoplasty is to keep the number of holes on the golf course to 18. Ah, a traditionalist, I see. lol

I think I know you well enough to make that comment. If not, just slap me.

Moni,

I've been known to play an extra hole or 18, so the number of holes doesn't enter into it.  And I don't want to know what it is you do with golf balls.

At least when I'm on the way home after GCS I'll be happy about losing a couple of balls.

Obviously you are not a golfer. Every golfer has at least one extra putter in their garage  because its always the golf club's fault, never the golfer's when things go bad.

I'll look at as leaving a 1-iron behind since it's about as useful. Lee Trevino once said if he's caught in a lightning storm again he'd hold up his 1-iron because not even God can hit one.

One thing I noticed about this site is the lack of picture posts.  I'm quite ok with that and I do like it.  Sometimes I feel halfway decent about myself so I'm going to put one up now.

Have generally been feeling good the last couple weeks.  I think the lifting of stress by finally getting a surgery date and the increase in estrogen dose are what's doing it.

So here's Monday.    I think the tights disqualify it from @Moni s leg show thread so I'll plop it here

I like it!  I am currently fighting an accumulation of extra body fat that I acquired since Amber started to cook for me all the time!
If I would stand dressed like this, one could mistake me for a dressed up whale!

I love your boots, where did you find those?
Payless.

I've been wanting to get the same in black but have not come across any.  Target has some that would be ok but not in my size.

Cheese be with you.

R.I.P.  Payless :(

Target just depresses me.  If you wear anything over a size 10 you may as well not exist.
