Hi All!

I'm 57, I've been out to my wife of 34 years for a dozen years or more. Until this year, I have been using the term "crossdresser" to describe myself, but with some introspection, I have come to terms with the fact that I am on the trans spectrum. I can't see a transition in my lifetime as I am happy living about half my time as Jennifer. Maybe I am non-binary but I have never struggled with who I am. I am me. I knew the rules growing up: boys NEVER dress like girls. Of course that didn't stop me but I knew it had to be a secret. I identify as male and happily so but that doesn't stop me from identifying as "me" when Jennifer is out and about. It's kind of weird but it works for me.

Hi Jennifer, I believe we know each other from elsewhere. I did not leave that place under pleasant circumstances, so I hope we are good. I always liked you, and I'm glad to see you here. There is a good, friendly group here.

I left for non-Daisy reasons but it was going nowhere. And of course we're good!

One of the things that was discussed early in the planning for this site was making sure that all portions of the transgender spectrum feel comfortable on the site. The staff team has frequent discussions about how to engage more with portions of the transgender spectrum that are not heavily represented here. We love to see more non-transitioning people, non-binary people, and men. We have a super great group of women who either are transitioning or have been pretty far down that road for a long time, but not as many non-transitioning. We're glad to have you!

Great forethought. It might be a coin flip between cross dresser and non-transiotioning but tomato/tomato

Hi Jennifer,

Welcome to the Refuge. I also believe we have crossed paths elsewhere. I can attest to what has been said about feeling comfortable here. I am non binary and also identify pretty much as male. I am 65 and only in the past year did I realize who I am and then told my wife.

Hugs,
Mike

Thanks Mike. I was a member at cd.com and was banned several years ago. Is that where we might have crossed paths?

Welcom to our Refuge Jennifer. I hope you will find we are more than a forum, but have become a supportive community, and w are so happy to have you as part of it! I spent most of this century as ma full time at hom and sort of part time outside, but I was happy and never intended to transition. In recent years my dysphoria increased to the point I was sick, and there was no other option but to transition. This is a strange path, and I have learned it can take us where we don’t expecr, but it has brought me to meet and know so many amazing people here!

I look forward to one day seeing you on our weekend zoom sessions, where our friendships are really strengthened!

Hugs,

Allie

Nope, but you do look familiar. I was on sp with several members here and that is where I thought I remembered you from. Maybe not. Either way, you should feel very welcome here. I never had trouble on the other site. I just feel much more comfortable here.

Hugs,
Mike

I am currently traveling the USA in my Van-Gina (I think it was Moni who coined that name), and so I am a little late welcoming you.
I think the real reason why you like this forum is, because I am o e of the administrators here.
Don't you agree?

Jennifer, I am notoriously slow to catch up with postings, so apologize for my long (2 month, Yikes!) delay in catching your post. I am one of the “other” non-transitioning gals on the site. It took me a long time, like you, to figure out me — and now I just can’t bring myself to “do it” to my wife of nearly 50 years. But I know who I am even if my parts never change. Glad you are here. Nancy

I can absolutely relate. I have just joined. I’m cool with who I am, but but plan on staying in the closet. Tried to find comfort in an adult recreational site. That was not for me. I feel as if I have finally found a place where’ve can be me, and be reminded that I’m not sick or messed up. 🤗

High Julie, welcome here. If you are sick or messed up all 350 plus members here would also be the same sick or messed up.
But I can assure you that neither you nor any of us is such.

Oh some of us are plenty sick and messed up. But not because we're transgender.

Consider you could be genderfluid? If you're going back & forth, that IS a possibility. What you are describing sounds exactly like me when I was gender-questioning. Several times a day, over the span of a week, I would think about your gender identity. Is it different all the time?

That is something to consider. Thank you!
