Trans forums are kind of like saloons or bars. They will attract a certain kind of patron. Over at Susan's, I saw a thread about Christianity get shut down because the atheists attacked. They own that site, and will put a stop to any talk about how good Jesus can be. I don't belong there.

This site belongs to those that prefer the company of other women. Nobody here understands what it is like to be a hetero trans woman. Notice that I deleted most of my posts. It's not like anybody really cares. I knew that once this site grew, I would become irrelevant. I was right.

I have yet to find a forum for trans women like myself. Perhaps none exist. It was fun getting to know some of you. I miss some of the ones that already left, and I'll miss some of you. This site just ain't for me anymore.

I'm sorry to hear that Sarah :( I'm questioning and bisexual leaning towards transmasc and gay and I don't feel shunned here, but that's simply my experience. But I know how important it is to find the space you belong in best.

whether you stay or leave, I wanted to thank you for all your advice you've given me in the brief time we've known each other, and I hope you have a happy life and find a good community! *hugs*

I'm sorry, Sarah. The staff team has tried our hardest to try to build diversity here. We have been aware for a long time that our members are mostly middle aged, white, non-heterosexual women. We don't have as many guys as we had hoped for, we don't have as many non-binary people as we had hoped for, and there is distinct lack of heterosexual women here as you point out.

You may or may not be aware that the attitude toward Christians was a major motivating factor in my decision to partake in the creation of this site. And that came with the balancing act of trying to make it welcoming for people who don't share those beliefs. It is our hope that Christians and non-Christians will feel equally welcome here.

I hope you can find a place where you feel like an integral part of the community. We had hoped that would happen here, but it seems that our hopes did not materialize.

@LADY SARAH ..... what a shame it doesn’t work out for you. I Sincerely doubt though, it’s all because of the reasons you say.

I’m friends with four other people on this site who are hetero transgender women. One of which, I’m extremely close with. Who knows how many others there might be. I’m still fairly new at this ( full HRT has not even been a year yet ) so I’m exploring those possibilities for myself. I was married to a woman for over 25 years who died, having a relationship is not exactly my top priority, but I definitely see an attraction to men that I never had before. This may blossom into this me being a trans female heterosexual. As far as Christianity, I know several people on the site of very strong faith. I’m not sure I know anybody who is against somebody who has a religious background.

Honestly you always seem like a very nice person and it’s too bad you can’t seem to find a home that you’re comfortable with. I agree about the problem at SP. As far as I can see though. I don’t know any other sites that are openly run by somebody who has very strong Christian faith outside of this one. I have always liked the fact that we have people who are into both men and women, who are religious and atheist, who are both trans male and transfemale, as the site grows those numbers will become larger. I truly hope you can find what you’re looking for & that both love and support follow you.

Sarah, I hope you don't leave. I'm a hetero trans woman, even if that wasn't a straight shot getting to that point. I'm an atheist too but would have a problem if anyone harassed someone for their religion. I believe diversity is good. Hugs!

Sarah, I am sad that our forum does not meet your needs, but it really does not meet all my needs as an intersex person either.
But we have to look at reality, only a rather small number of trans women changed their sexuity and became hetero after transition, and along that line, even less are intersex.
But even as a cofounder of the forum, I cannot change reality. I will be an underrepresented person for ever. The forum is made up by its members, and not many hetero trans women seem to want to psrticipate here, we as the leadership cannot change this.
I think we try very hard to give everyone of our members the chance to voice their opinion, but we cannot force any other member to agree.

I sure hope that we do not come across as if we are trying to make this a lesbian controlled venue.
I stated often enough that I wish I would be hetero.

And we sure are not anti Christian, I have hardly met any more Christian people than Katie and Complete.

Hugs
Linde

Sarah, I'm sorry you feel this site isn't working for you. It is the policy of this site that all are welcome here. As a couple folks have mentioned above, we do have at least 5 hetero trans women, as well as a number of trans men, that I know of personally, and I'm almost certain there are others. The current mix of gender, sexuality, and faith in the site are nothing more than just how the stars have aligned. I would hate to see you leave the site, based on the current gender/sexual/faith oriented population of the site. I mean, who knows who will join us next month. But because we take pride in being internationally diverse, you can be sure hetero trans women will also always be welcome here.

I am a member of the Satanic Temple and a Christian minister. See my blog there are good and bad and so many Christians get a bad rap. You can be Christian and trans they are not mutually exclusive that said for many trans individuals there is the attitude that some Christians give that ruin the well. I can only say stick around people might surprise you. As for heterosexual. I mean is it hard to say because I do have a strong attraction to men and could see myself with one. I have a strong attraction to women as well and trans men and trans women. I identify as pan but that doesn’t mean that when I am with a guy it isn’t a heterosexual relationship

I do not think that anyone here is against christians, not that I have seen but I do know people who are against the church itself... kind of understandable when the pope (just one example of a christian leader but not the only one) sits there and says we are unnatural and are destroying the natural order. If there are those who take that out against people of faith rather than the faith itself then that is just sad and it seems that some do not understand that we are being attacked on all sides by some very loud detractors and hate groups and so we don't have the luxury of attacking each other and tearing each other down as we are all in this together no matter what you believe in. It's that simple for me.
