i am using minoxadil and am getting results even though its not even been 2 weeks. i know that you need to shave to get rid of the peach fuzz hairs so plan to (even though i know it will make me so dysphoric) shave once a month. how many times will i need to do this? also, how long do i need to use it before all the hairs are terminal? i hope to get on testosterone gell early next year as i have my first private appointment at the end of november (i hoped i could get on it this year but by te time i booked anappointment the all the specialists appointments before she leaves are taken so i have one with her sucsessor).

I think only testosterone can make vellus hair to become terminal. Shaving can make the shafts a bit tougher, but it will not do anything to the follicle. You have to try to get the stuff earlier. Bu testosterone is a controlled substance, and it is not available over the counter.
You can get DHEA over the counter. DHEA is made by the renal glands, and is a precursor of testosterone. My endo told me to take it, because I am at absolutely zero testosterone. It is mostly harmless, and cannot do any damage. Try it, start with an elevated dose, and see if it helps.
