Hello,I am Heidi and live and dress as female fulltime. My earliest memories of trying on female clothing was at age 7.It was a month after my real parents adopted me at age 7.I grew with a hard life before that happened, bio parents were bad parents drinking and doing drugs which I was removed from put in several foster homes.I was curious at the the time and luck came by with it,my parents let discover myself.Mom had a bag of girl's clothes she was selling, found a dress I liked and took it while she outside not caught.Went in my room closing the door and taking my clothes off and put it on.Mom noticed it gone and found me wearing it in my room.Saw I loved it and would not give it up.She saw something about me after that,I wasn't like any normal boy and wanted to dress as female.Dad,he accepted it I was this way too.Began part time through my high school years and soon knew the male wardrobe was getting boring to wear at age 27.Decided to ditch my male wardrobe when I was 27.I loved women's clothing and shoes more, easier to shop for and loved the style more comfortable to wear. After that I have been living a happy life since I started living and dressing as female fulltime married to a great wife Jackie whom is supportive. She loves having a feminine husband,we go out shopping together including getting our nails done

Wow, welcome Heidi! You are living what many here dream about! Thank you for your excellent introduction story, and sorry you had such a hard early life, but you seem to be happy now! One thing I am interested in, where approximately do you live?

Hugs,

Allie

Congratulations on finding your dream, and especially having someone to share it with! I knew all my life I was trans, but I refused to give in to it. I had an amazing life as sort of a male, but dysphoria made me sick, so I had to start HRT. I started living full time at the start of this year, but my wife divorced me. Fortunately, she is happy to keep living with me as friends.

Are you medically transitioning, or socially? So happy to have you with us!!!

Hugs,

Allie

Hey there @HeidiJ. Welcome to transrefuge. I'm in Wisconsin, somewhat familiar with Michigan, my brother lives there and I visit a couple times a year usually. Nice to meet you.

Awesome! I was happy being myself at home for decades, and I really did not want to medically transition.

Hugs,

Allie

Yes,she has always liked feminine men.A couple of my exes were not into it
Although my ex had a real problem with being seen as gay, she admitted she was attracted to my female side after I came out to her before we married. She gave me a beautiful nighty and a pearl necklace for wedding presents, and I was me at home for the entire 20 years we were married. She loved that I did all the domestic duties and she was happy to do the outside maintenance. When I got sick and was told I needed to start HRT to survive, she convinced me to transition. She had a very hard year in 2019 trying to figure out how we could stay together without her being seen as gay, and so getting divorced was thee answer. In truth, we were never really husband and wife, but best friends, so very little has changed.

I feel so lucky as so many trans people remain living alone, and so I am also very happy for you and Jackie!

Hugs,

Allie

Hi Heidi - It sounds like things have worked out for you. It is so nice to learn of people that are accepted and living their life authentically. I encourage people to be honest with themselves and if they can to live honestly out in the world. That does not necessarily have to include medical intervention unless of course it is important to that person.

One thing I love about this site is the wide variety of people and experiences that are here. Glad to have you join us and I hope to see you often.
