Hello all,
I have a very unusual diet that I've been trying. It's the potato diet. I bought a bag of potatoes a couple of weeks ago and noticed that each tater only had 120 calories. These were big baking potatoes and it would only take one to fill me up. So I started eating about 3 or 4 of those a day. I'm kind of a "bland" eater anyway, so I don't put hardly anything on them. A little bit of low calorie butter, some salt and pepper is all I need to be happy.
I wasn't sure how well the diet would work, but I can tell you it's starting to show some promise. I've lost 8 pounds so far in 13 days. I also wasn't sure if the diet was good for me, so I did a Google asking if it was healthy to only eat potatoes...guess what? It is healthy and it's also an established diet.
Penn Jillette had a heart attack a while back and his doctors told him to lose weight. He did it with a potato diet. He lost 100 pounds in 4 months. Now I don't need to lose quite that much weight, but I think I'll lose every once I need to lose on this diet. Hopefully I can stay strong and stick with it. So far so good. I only need to lose about 70 more pounds to be where I need to be.
If anyone tries this diet let me know how it works for you.
