Really liking this new barrette style. Just pull just the sides above the ear back for the barrette and leave rest alone behind shoulders. Simple :).

I have almost the same barette, and use it when I want to keep hair out of my face, but it just doesn’t look that nice. Maybe after I get my hair coloured.

I have always envied the girls so much for being able to have these types of hair styles and it does look good on you as well!

I would have a long ways to go length wise and am not really planning to grow my hair past shoulder length, but a) who knows and b) even then there are many really nice looking styles or effectgs with little braided bits and pieces, etc. - It might turn out that I am plain to old for those juvenile looks, but I will most definitely given them all a good try!

Barrette looks good Emma.
I think you have nice natural looking highlights!
Thanks. My husband colored my hair over the quarantine. After his career in the military, he was a hair stylist. He use to be a color instructor at the cosmetology college and manged Regis salon on UW Campus. Since he retired he hasn’t done anybody’s hair, but I asked him nicely lol.

If the profile pic is recent, I think your hairstyle there looks really good. Shorter hair looks nice on you

Yeah it was. I’ll be going to get a new hair style soon. Probably let them do what they want and see what they come up with. It’s a super trans and lbgt friendly salon so I’ll just tell them something feminine. Could be short or long. Idk.

I like it Emma. I always do my entire hair into a knot behind my head to keep it out of the face and away from my neck. I like this style really well, if he side hair is braided and than made into a barrett.
I just have to convince Amber to braid my hair one of these days.

Hugs

Thanks for the compliments, Maddie and Emma, you made me blush. The profile pic is now 2 months old, so count an inch to that, which already makes a big difference. But I think you are right Emma, I am probably one for short hair. I haven‘t really got it sussed out yet what it is that makes people compat with long or short hair, but it can‘t be so difficult, since I can see it in others easily.

Probably let them do what they want and see what they come up with.
My salon is like that as well but I don‘t think I would put things in their hands all that much. It is good to harvest their professionalism and I am only now learning about hair and style, but I can still not tell 100% if they primarily see me as a fresh transgender or as an older lady that wants to look youthful, lol. I let them decide on what to do with the final styling twice and both times I felt it was to daring. I wouldn‘t want this in a cut that stays with me for weeks or months, so we talk and plan and then it is her profession to „implement“ this and so far I love this.

I don't know how I missed this thread, but that looks beautiful. I hope someday I can do something like that with my hair.

It looks great Emma, however it'll be at least a couple of years before I can try something like that. I have to wait until the hair transplant to my temples grows out.
