After what I can only call the worst year of my life so far I finally got myself a new car; a small mercy that’s given me back my independence and freedom.

the car is in immaculate condition (one scratch next to the drivers side door handle and two very small stone chips on the bonnet) both inside and out, the interior looks brand new after I had it detailed and when I took it to my uncles repair shop he said that it was in “exceptionally good condition” mechanically speaking.

I love the colour most of all and it is a joy to drive and definitely the nicest car I’ve ever owned. I picked it up for $15,700 which included almost a full years worth of rego, new timing chains and tyres and they delivered it to my door for free. Really the only good thing that’s happened to me all year and I’m very pleased with the purchase.

Not sure if it’s worth mentioning as Americans won’t know what I’m talking about but it’s a MY12 Holden series II VE SV6 sports wagon and it has 150K on the odometer so it’s only averaged 35kms a day. I’m hoping for many happy years of adventures with it and we’re already planning a trip to Apollo bay so we can do the rainforest drive.

Congratulations, the car looks nice, and I like the color. I have no idea what a MY12 Holden series II VE SV6 is?

Because I am a lesbian, I drive what is known to be the "Jeep for Lesbians", a Subaru Forester.

Congrats on the new wheels Michelle, and especially as it is an Aussie designed and made vehicle! My brother has had that model commodore since new, and he still loves it! The wagon is very versatile, and will allow lots of adventures! The first outing I did in my new car a couple of years ago was to the Otways, to visit some of the waterfalls, and it was on a rainy weekend. The roads were covered in leaf litter from winds, and were a bit slippery, but the forest in that area is stunning. The walks to the waterfalls were often very steep, and I was sore for a couple of days after!

Enjoy your new vehicle, and have lots of adventures!

Hugs,

Allie

Very nice Michelle! Yes, I do know a bit about Holden. The Holden Torana GTR and SL/R are some of the most popular cars used in the famous Australian Super V8 auto racing series.

tysm Allie! The VE sports wagon has the same footprint as the sedan so it drives much smaller than it looks if that makes sense? It's a big yes to the Otways, they are stunning and cannot wait to see them again
