My love of shoes

There is one thing of me that I have as Debra,my love of shoes.My mom and 2 younger sisters say I have too many,they try to pry me away from them if I don't have a pair that I like.My wife,she takes it well that I have more shoes than her.I believe it all started when I was 17,saved my money up every time to buy them.Also lucky to find my size,wear a women's size 12.I love heels,wedges,sandals and boots losing count.Everytime my sister's friends are over including my wife's friends,they like to see what I bought lately,none so far lately.My wife and her friends say I have great taste in shoes.

I have a weird love of running shoes. Some ladies get all excited about heels or wedges or even certain flats, but I get all excited about a great running shoe with perfect arch support. I'm such a weirdo. My mother-in-law is really into walking shoes. Not too different from running shoes. She has like 17 pairs of the things.

I have to admit a weakness for shoes and bags, and I had more than my wife, before I started to transition! I am womens size 11, but I can wear 10's in open heel. I don't go out much so don't get to wear my fancier shoes.

I am probably the winner of the shoe contest. As a guy, I had 34 pairs o shoes, not old ones, but shoes I took turns wearing. Now, as a woman, try to catch up with that number, I am currently at 15 pairs.

I work in a department store here in California and I always check out what the ladies are wearing and how I can incorporate more Feminine attire into my wardrobe. I never really noticed shoes much ( male or female) before discovering I was "different". Now I always look down to see what she has on. I get a true " rush" when I see a perfect pair of heels and I positively LOVE Platforms!

I was a shoe oriented person all my life. When I tried to present as a male, I had 32 pairs of guy or unisex shoes. Now that I left the trying to mimic a guy behind. I am working hard to exceed the number of 32 pairs of shoes.

I like to dress rather feminine, and nice shoes are pasrt of it.

Growing up, I would eagerly await my parents and sister being out of the house, so I could secretly try on her clothes. Putting on her shoes was the last thing I did, and always felt like the final touch of my transition from boy to girl. Unfortunately, I grew up to have giant feet, and grew out of her shoes quickly. Today, wearing a men's size 16, comfortable girl shoes are few and far between. hence, my enjoyment of wearing female cheerleader uniforms, and the plain white lace up sneakers, carefully decorated with cute color laces, and magic marker coloring to match the other colors on the uniform.

Welcome to our Refuge @sometimes_miss ! having no sisters and a 4'10" mother meant my time trying on her clothes was very brief. Circumstances prevented me from wearing female shoes for nearly another 40 years but it was so good when I could! I am fortunate to be able to readily buy shoes, but there are many here who struggle to get shoes in their size, and may share information with you! I look forward to reading more posts from you!

I would like to join Allie in welcoming you to our refuge.
To show that we are all different individuals, but yet all of us fit under the trans umbrella, I would like to share a part of my story with you.
Even though my sister was only two years older than I, and was about of the same higth, I never tried to wear her clothing items, or items of my mother.
The first time ever in my life that I put femal appearal onto my body was the week prior of me living full-time as a woman. It was when I bought clothing items for my future life.
These days I am a happy woman for several years now.
As I said, all of us are different, and there is no right or wrong.

Welcome to the refuge. I never had a desire to wear female shoes, but did wear my moms clothes a few times when I was young, and no one was home. My sister was younger and smaller, so that wasn't really an option. As Linde said, we are all different.

I get a tingly feeling when I see a pair of red or purple high heels. I also get the same feeling when I see shiny pink or lavender knee high boots. What's going on with me? I definitely did not have these sometimes overwhelming feelings 3 years ago. Can anyone explain?

You are probably just letting your mind explore! I love shoes, have close to 40 pairs, but it doesn’t mean much. The attraction evolves as you explore your new self!
