Here we go
Everyone has a blog so here’s mine which will be full of just stuff I’m doing
I work for my self so occasionally I have to get a project that pays. Today quoted two house extensions snd got both. Result. I got on well with both people and you could tell they would say yes.
so celebrating tonight with a Mateus rose tarte paysan ( tomato ) and potatoes and Brussels sprouts.

Your tarte paysan reminds me a lot on some kind of pizza, a friend of us made as her typical home type food. She was from France, from the area just next t the Italien border. But she did not put potatoes or Brussels sprouts on, just tomatoes.

This is a short crust pastry base then Creme frais and Dijon mustard ( cinnamon nutmeg paprika)and tomatoes
This was the starter
The potatoes and Brussels were with the roast duck breasts in apricot sauce.

Just got my date for covid vaccination for next week ( I’m 62 and they are working downwards) they have now done 18% of the uk

I’m happy you have your first vaccination! I have months to wait, as we in the antipodes have low infection rates so we are down the priority scale for access to the drug. But it is a situation I prefer! The MG marque is making a comeback here in Oz, but it is a Chinese owned and built SUV with little connection to the original English car maker!

Yep, because there's so little community spread in Australia our government has let the full normal approval procedures run rather than the emergency approvals as the US and UK have done. The Pfizer vaccine, of which we're getting about 16M doses, has been approved and it is expected to start rolling out according to the priority list in a week or two. The Astra Zenica vaccine will follow shortly after. As I'm still technically on the payroll of a health provider as an "other health care worker" I hope that I'll be in the 1b category but the worst case would see me in 2a, along with Allie. We're also supposed to be getting some of the Moderna vaccine but that's some way off. We're manufacturing the Astra Zenica vaccine here and have enough doses ordered for our whole population of around 25 Million.

I thought Australia had a larger population? Our thin and skinny Florida has almost 22 million people living here, and the entire Everglades are even empty!

Yes Linde, Australia is very lightly populated as so much of our interior is so dry it's unsuitable for anything other than being left alone, or only very light grazing on native vegetation. There's plenty of wilderness and National Parks of various types as well. Population is highly concentrated in major cities with 67% of the population living in the 8 state or territory capital cities. Add in a few regional cities and I'm pretty certain it would quickly exceed 75%.

As for the Everglades, they are more than accounted for by 5 of our larger farms. We have 28 farms (we call the big ones Stations) of more than 2M acres and 71 of more than 1M acres. The largest is nearly 6M acres.

The way we live here at the beaches of the southern part of the Gulf of Mexico does not allow for creating any events to wear such a dress. If I have to attend some more dress-up event, I wear a black and grey pant-skirt, and depending on the event, a lacy top with appropriate colors.

But most of the times we try to wear as little clothing as possible. Like today is a cool day, and it is only 82 F. I would have way more reasons to wear a bikini (if I finally lose those nasty 10 to 15 pounds, I could wear one) than a black formal dress.

I will have my jab in about 2 hours from now, but I don't know if spaghetti would cheer me up. I'd prefer fish & chips!

Just so you know the problem I have with wives is my ex hated the idea of what I was and never wanted to know. She snd my children who have sort of sided with her never want to know me again. I am not going to lose any sleep over this as what I have done is honourable and for the good of everyone. I know she is a heterosexual woman the same as me and we could never have lived together especially when I started dating men.
so the sight of happy wives sends shivers down my spine
