That’s an extremely exciting moment when you start seeing feminine glimpes. This is what I learned going through this.
The truth you’re starting to see little bits and pieces of yourself coming through, but it’s not perfect yet, it doesn’t look great. So you’re not quite sure what you’re seeing. It’s part dysphoria and it’s also part of the early phases of transition. You know when you look in the mirror, you do not look like a woman. Of course not, it’s not that easy. What is amazing is every step you take brings you closer.
You put on the make up, you put on the clothes .....for the most part you don’t see the person you want to see in the mirror yet, but It makes you feel little bit better about yourself doing it. that’s why we all have done that.
We are searching for our true selves, practicing so we can be better later.
Then it happens..... you walk past the mirror and you suddenly get a glimpse of your reflection. It’s only for a moment, but you can see the true Kara coming through. I can be exhilarating only for a few seconds.
Cool part .....the further you get into transition, the more you see yourself, moments become longer and longer. It means you’re doing great. Where your journey goes from there, surgeries you feel you need, all of that is your own to figure out. You’re on the right path.
Now I understand this is not how everybody else sees you, everybody will have a different opinion. Some people see much more feminine beautiful things then you’ll see for a very long time. That’s OK they have non biased eyes. Listen to them it’ll bring you encouragement when you need it. I’m just glad you’re starting to see the things that you need to see. I am rooting for you.
Nice eye shadow.
Hugs
