When I lived further north I made cardboard cutouts to put between the air conditioner condenser and the radiator on all my vehicles. I left cardboard there all winter. I am thankful I don't have to do that anymore. However, I now suffer more in the summer.

I was just catching up your thread . I have so much respect for the job that you do. Unfortunately the cold sucks, that’s the reason I don’t live that way. Sorry your employment is so hard right now, working through the snow. I remember being where you were last year. ( well not the snow part ) Just a living a double life in your own mind part.

Kind of felt like two trains going at the same time. Your normal life where you’re trying to make as much money as possible so you can pay off things and finally transition. And your secret life that wants to break free and continues to change your body a little bit every day. If the one train gets out ahead of the other one it can make things pretty uncomfortable. Been there done that. At least the cold, you can hide a lot of it in layers.

Honestly I’m sure you will celebrate the day that you don’t have to work those long crazy hours anymore. Hopefully you’re not losing too much strength yet. That is some thing I have noticed in my job. The ladders are much heavier. Just like you though I plan on moving to a different position within this company at least by years end. Be careful out there, I look forward to talking to you again soon.

Take some downtime Kara. My wife and I had it last year. It was not much worse than the flu for us, but did make me feel very exhausted for several days. Hopefully it doesn't get any worse for you, and you will be able to swing between the power lines again soon.

But do take it serious, some people just react worse. No reason for it.

it’s a bad way to get time off but at least you don’t have to hang out in the freezing cold for a few weeks.

I escaped!!
Don't worry I was all masked up and had. No contact. Had to get my groceries from the Walmart pickup. Just a bit of mascara and my nails horribly done. First time going out like this. It was exhilarating!!
