Karajo...... i’ve done that before. And I did it in while at work. Truth be told that’s what I do for a living. About seven years ago I was looking for termites that written up an entire wall up to the studs inside a home. I do you like I always do, walk the beams, got over near that area, took a few pictures and went to go back out across the house to where the stairs in the garage were.

1 foot from the opening to the stairs, I stepped on a beam that apparently had been weaked by termites I had not been able to investigate yet (in a bathroom just below). I figured I’d walk down that beam to get to where I got to it would hold me to come back right?...... yeah not so much. I fell 12 foot directly on concrete. Tore up my foot pretty bad and scraped each side of my torso going through the ceiling. It was not fun.

So sorry you had to deal with that. Well like you said, it’ll get better you’ll get back to rocking again. I hope the family time has helped mentally. We’re always here.

Sending positive vibes your way.

Hugs
Nicole

Anyone else see the irony of 'Ms. Hanging for a Helicopter Working 200 Feet Up,' falling through the roof of her own house? Where was that safety harness, Missy? LOL

Yeah Kara! What's up with that girl!!!. If it wasn't for Moni, we all would have missed that one important detail. Not so fast. Not this time haha. I think your boss might have something to say about you forgetting your safety harness lol.

Oh I didn't miss it. It's one of the first things I thought of as I was straddling the piece of wire that caused my dramatic entry into the living room. Hang off helicopters for years and fall through my dang roof!! What a maroon!

Kara, I would rather fall through the ceiling without a harness than from a helicopter. :)

Sadly, I have stepped through a ceiling before myself, so there are at least 2 of us morons. I'm just glad your pride was the only thing you hurt.

I have been in many airplanes for a previous job, but never been in a helicoptor, much less hang from the outside of one.

Hugs,
Mike

I'd need one of those special helicopter parachutes for me to go in a helicopter.

The Russians made a helo that had ejector seats. There were explosives in the blades so they would fall off and then they could eject. Maybe that's an option;)?

I was wondering about that. How do you jump out of a helicopter without being sliced and diced. Is that really a thing. I do recall watching skiers dropping out of helicopters onto the tops of big mountains, but not when the heli is falling too

Typically the bird will go forward into an auto rotate if the pilot thinks be can land it.

Here's the def

The most common reason for an autorotation is an engine failure (or failure of both engines in the case of a twin-engined helicopter) but autorotations can also be performed in the event of a complete tail rotor failure, since there is virtually no torque produced in autorotation. (Although in this case the engine must be shut down in the final stages of the approach to prevent an engine torque response as the landing is made.)
If the engine fails, the freewheeling unit automatically disengages the engine from the main rotor allowing the main rotor to rotate freely. Essentially, the freewheeling unit disengages anytime the engine RPM (ERPM) is less than the rotor RPM (RRPM).
The manufacturer specifies a minimum and maximum RRPM for each helicopter type. The normal RRPM range is marked on the RPM gauge as a green arc, with permitted cautionary ranges marked in yellow or amber and enclosed by a red mark indicating the minimum and maximum permitted.
At the instant of engine failure, the main rotor blades are producing lift and thrust by a combination of their angle of attack and velocity. When engine power fails, the drag component will rapidly reduce the rotor speed. The Flight Manual will stipulate a minimum RRPM, below which, if the rotor speed reduces, it may be impossible to recover RRPM to a flight value: the rotor will stall entirely and cease to rotate. The pilot must, therefore, if engine power fails, immediately reduce collective pitch (and thus decrease both lift-induced and blade profile drag), as a result of which the helicopter begins an immediate descent, thus producing an upward flow of air through the rotor system. This upward flow of air through the rotor changes the lift and drag vectors along the span of the blades to produce an inboard section where the drag acts in the plane of rotation of the blades: and thus keeps them turning. This provides sufficient thrust to maintain rotor RPM throughout the descent, whilst also producing some lift. Nevertheless, rates of descent in autorotation are typically 1500-2000 fpm in many helicopters, and may be higher in some. Since the tail rotor is driven by the main rotor transmission during autorotation, balance is maintained as in normal flight.

I figured I would maybe perhaps start a ramble for my mental health, and for folks maybe to read from my point of view? Maybe? I honestly don't know alot of mtf coming from the construction industry. I am still up in the air about what I am going to do when I can't hide who I am anymore. If it's cool with y'all I may start telling about my life in chapters. I may be 39 but I have had a hell of a life so far. Alot better than I deserve for sure. Also alot better than some folk. So in parting, if I offend anyone please let me know. Which I doubt. I think I am pretty funny and try not to ever darken a room.

Here is a picture of my daughter and I yesterday. Apparently I have a sensitive scalp and she is relentless when it comes to styling hair!

Love yall

Hi
What are you in construction
I was a partner in an architects firm and I know an earring in your ear meant you’re gay and don’t talk to them in the professional sets but it was ok for a bricky to have 4 earrings
So I had a stud in act of defiance for years
Architects can be slightly arty
Luckily later in life as a boss I could do as I please and started getting clients as me. How good that feels.

I am a journeyman lineman(woman)
Trying to pay stuff off this year so I can find another career.

I want ear rings so so bad!! I will get them sooner than later though. Slowly adding more color to myself a little here. A little there. Even told some guys I wear leggings cause they are warm! And they are!!

I have been playing in makeup. What do y'all think?

Also got my first pair of jeggings. I love them!!

Love y'all!
Kara

Did you try to make cat eyes? I can't see it on the pics. You need to put the liner all the way into the corner of the eyes. Otherwise it looks pretty good to me!
The jeggings fit nice on your legs.

Kara, honestly, you have a lot of potential. You and I know you are at the experimental stage of things. Make up can only be learned by doing. This is what you are doing and each attempt will increase your skills. It's not just learning the muscle coordination (not poking yourself in the eye and such) it's also finding your style. You have to find what you like. I'm a minimalist, that's what I see as me. I do eye liner on top of the eye only. If I went to an evening event, maybe on the bottom. Your mental eye must accept what is there also. Too much on me, I don't accept it mentally. You may not even know yet what you like on you. Explore! This is all general comment, not aimed at your picture specifically. Jeggings are awesome, so comfy! I will not offer criticism cause I don't know your style. If I were to though, I would be thinking of a more colorful cap. This is personal preference of course. My two sons drive me crazy with the black and grey caps all the time. I'm like, would it kill you to wear some color?" Pink might not be your thing, but realize that more options will be open to you as you proceed. Women's clothes are much more fun.

Yes I agree it took me about 2 years to start getting the make up right. It has to enhance you and your style. Clothes are fun. My friends say I could wear a sack and it would look stylish. Also note high waists fit and look better so none of those low cut ones. I would never be seen without eye liner and shadow and lip liner and lips to make them bigger

I am like Moni, I also believe less makeup is more! have my eyeliner tattooed on, and my brows are microbladed. I never wear eye shadow, and only eyeliner below the eye for rare occasions. During the non facemask times, I use the 24 hour type of lip coloring, and i put a little rouge on my check bones. That is my makeup for most occasions.

Speaking of masks. Got some laser done today since I am back up north where the milan laser place is. So, since I am working around some old friends from years ago. They don't believe I ever had a beard so I have been showing this picture alot and it kinda bugs me.

Where I was and where I am today!!

Pretty stoked.

Love y'all!

Oh how those old photos upset you. Also get lazer done while you can. They don’t work on grey or blond hair
