I'm somebody! - Book has been published

About a year ago, I was approached by an author on Facebook asking if I would like to contribute to devotional book for LGBTQ people. I submitted my portion of the book earlier this year, and it had finally been published in Kindle format and is available on Amazon. If you've seen the phone book scene from the old Steve Martin movie The Jerk, I feel like he did when he sees his name published in the phone book and exclaims "I'm somebody!". Lol.

Devotionals aren't really my cup of tea in my own personal life, but I did enjoy contributing to the creation of one.

Lol, I don’t think you’ll have to worry about that. Other than a free copy of the book, I don’t get anything out of this except the satisfaction of writing and sharing what’s important to me with others.

He, that is more than I got. I coauthored a textbook for nurse education, and I did not even get a free copy of that one, and it is out of print now!

Hmmm, we generally only get a free book for co authoring, though have been paid a time or two. At least the last book I was credited in as Allie! Congratulations, but don’t let the fame go to your head Katie!

I will have a two hour Zoom interview tomorrow by one of the major universities of this country. It is or a PhD dissertation dealing with research concerning the way intersex women of any age live in the US, and how their medical treatment is done.
I hope that this project will move the awareness about intersex into the public sphere in the US.

Are they going to do versions in other formats such as epub that aren't proprietary? I like to avoid the monopolistic Amazon whenever possible and get my ebooks via Kobo.
