Adora, your positivity is inspirational! I think you should go on the corporate speaking circuit, you would make a bundle! Thank you for posting and best wishes for your liver treatment!

I am starting talks with my councilor /therapist and she wants me to speak at some group meeting for parents of TG children. Once the pandemic has become better controlled. I do wish I could be come a speaker in a grassroots way and move up to a bigger stage as an advocate and spokes person this way. I care nothing of fame nor money, I truly wish to help and heal peoples hearts and minds not my throwing sastistics at them that go over their head, but I think I could be like Joe Biden..I speak from experience, personal loss and hardships...in many ways we are a broken people, and I think I could be a voice of reason and unity...in this day and age...

May of you already know of my struggles and problems from what I have written here. so I give you....

I Giddy! I went to my doctors office to have my follow up to my last discharge from the hospital today. so My dad took me out to eat and as I was ordering my food, the server without missing a beat called me ma'am, the whole time, I was never once referred to as a sir...so today I passed...I was wearing a cute outfit, no make up, had my earrings and a bracelet on and my hair was brushed just right..and I passed...OMG! I feel so and wonderful right now...even my doctor and nurse told me before hand they loved my outfit...Yippee!
this was a welcomed delight after soo much crap I have had to deal with in this past month.

For those who celebrated it, I hope you all had a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.
I had a good one, but my night have not been so great. I have had a hard time resting and going to sleep .
Cancer is really taken a toll on me and my body physically and mentally.
I have had to have my doctor prescribe me sleeping pills so I can rest.
I ask myself why and what is hurting to keep me from being happy.
I cant answer it any better then someone that has fibromyalgia. I hurt there is a problem but I cant show any physical evidence.
I can't wait for the day I can get back to some semblance of what should me my normal.
I went to my liver specialist to find out my options on how we are going to deal with this cancer.
It cant be surgically removed, because its too big to safely remove.
I can't be considered for a transplant as I have to be 5 years out , cured from my last cancer diagnosis. Im a year out of not having breast cancer.
So we are going with a option I had been waiting to hear. They are going up thru my right leg. Vein Catheritization to place millions of microscopic radioactive glass beads n the veins that feed the tumor too basically suffocate it and kill it out.
This will be a 2 part procedure ..one to map the veins in my liver leading to the tumor then they will order the beads from Canada. It take about 2 to 3 weeks for them to get back and then they will go back in and inject the beads. They work their magic mainly over the course of 2 weeks. I would guess to say I will go back in and have some diagnostic tests to check on its progress and see if it has died out. I hope this works cause really, "I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired."

This surviving thing, is not for the weak of heart, and I have one of those too.
Well, Had my procedure done on Wednesday the 9ths, to map out my live.
Everything is good to go now.
I'm waiting on the date for the second procedure to be planned to put the Beas into my liver so they can do they trick.
Takes 2 to 3 weeks to get them from Canada .
So, I'm prolly going to have this done on the week right after Christmas. Go Me!
Current condition, im in a bit go pain, as my abdominal area is bloated and distended from water retention....Cirrosus is a bitch, so take roughly a week to get back down to normal.
My hormones haven't changed strength yet, but have an appointment soon to discuss that, so steady as she goes.
in closing, I'm good and I need a vacation!

To All

I know Adora has been inactive for awhile. She had beads put in her liver a little over a month ago to kill the cancer. I talked to her on the phone about two weeks ago and she said she was having trouble with fluid building up in her liver after the beads were put in. She seemed OK, just tired of being in and out of the hospital. She was talking about getting well soon and seemed upbeat about her future.

I just got a text a few minutes ago from her mom. She is not doing well. If you believe in the power of prayer, please pray for her. I called her mom after the text and she told me they are getting ready to put her in hospice.

Oh Mike. I feel so sorry for her. When we met last fall, she was so optimistic and happy, and now this!
I don't know if her mother remembers me, but tell her how sad I am, and how much I hope that Adora gets well again!

Linde,

I assure you her mom remembers you. She asked about you and told me to tell to tell you what is happening. I am going to find out this morning what the rules are right now for the hospice unit and visit later today if I can.

Hugs,
Mike

Mike, if you can, please give Adora and her mom a big hug from me.
I am still in shock, because Adora was so positive last fall, and we were mapping out her next steps.

Only family members can get in to see Adora. They are doing it in shifts. Adora's wife is with her today. I talked to Adora's mom for awhile. It sounds like she is going down pretty fast as her organs are starting to shut down. She is sleeping most of the time and doesn't want to fight it anymore. Her mom wanted to thank everyone here for helping Adora when she was online and for their thoughts and prayers right now.

Hugs,
Mike
