My vagina was healing pretty nice, and I was debating if I need those big maxi pads in my panties anymore. I was just spotting a bit because of the dilation grease.
Well last Thursday night I started to bleed badly during dilation, and it took a while for the bleeding to stop. On Friday morning I had the pelvic floor therapy, and I asked the therapist if she could take a look inside to see where the bleeding comes from. She palpated around and hit an area that hurt pretty bad upon touching it, and blood started to gush out again. It was about 3 to 4 inches deep inside the canal. They had a hard time to stop the bleeding, and needed several gauze sponges to do this. She went on the horn and talked with my surgeon, and the conclusion was that I had an area of tissue granulation inside.
The surgeon feels it might heal out again, if I use the number 2 dilator (the blue one) only. He said I cannot stop dilation to prevent any canal shrinkage/closure. I had not dilated Saturday and Sunday and when I started again on Monday, I had difficulties already to shove the dilator in. I kept on dilating, and this morning was the first time that dilating did not cause any bleeding. I hope that the bleeding will have stopped for good, and I can start to use the larger dilators again.

I hope that this event did not set me back much in the final healing. if anything would be just normal, I would be allowed to have intercourse with my new VJ in a little bit over 3 months from now. Now I just have to find a fitting man for it!

Ladies, do not stop dilating, whatever happens, it seems as if depth is lost faster than a race car can drive!

I was very conscientious about dilating, perhaps even more than prescribed. I never had granulation luckily. Other issues yes, but no granulation. If you go a year, you can start thinking about spacing out dilations. IMHO

They told me that I can go to once a week after a year, or have appropriate time with intercourse.
I own dilators, but I would still have to find a guy for the intercourse thing. I think it might be a continous love hate relationship with the dilators.
The bleeding stopped, and I hope it was it for good.

I found a ob/gyn surgeon nearby who is not horrified to have to work on a neo vagina. My therapist, who is active in the LGBTQI scene, referred me to him. He is gay and also an activist. He is a pretty big (tall) guy with a full beard, and the lanyard of his glasses is rainbow flag colored. He congratulated me to a real good looking vulva, and said that once the scars are gone for good that no man would ever know it is not natal now I just have to find such a man). After probing around, hes said that there is a rather large area of tissue granulation about 4" in, and that he needs to cauterize it with silver nitrate. It was not really fun, him doing this. he feels that it needs 4 to 5 more treatment, each 2 weeks apart. Oh what fun it is......! I have to stop using my current dilators, and buy some smaller ones. Once a day I have to use estrogen cream as lubrication, and the rest of the sessions I have to use organic coconut oil. Pretty soon I will smell like a bunch of lovely coconuts!

The pain is mostly gone, and I upgraded to a larger dilator. Today was the first day after my surgery that I was able o put my middle finger deep into my vagina, to do some touch and see inside there. I have some clear restriction about 3 1/2 inches in there, it is all around, and I think that is the area, at which my inverted penis was augmented with some skin flap, (probably scrotal skin???) to get to the 5 1/2 inch depth my vagina was made into? The granulation must have started at this site, and expanded pretty deep into the vagina. I will see the ob/gyn again next week and he said he wants to remove some more tissue. I assume I will have some pain again for a few days after this cauterization, but will be done with any restrictions. I hope that I did not lose to much depth, and can get any loss back with dilation.

Interesting observation, along with no pain in the VJ anymore, my desire for sexual pleasure is rising again, and I better go pretty soon onto the hunt and find me a partner.

I just started month 5 after surgery, and after 6 months post surgery, I am supposed to be allowed to use the VJ for it's designed purpose. I am very eager to get to this date as fast as possible!

Well, here is an update of my vaginal problems. The ob/gyn was ale to cauterize the tissue granulation, but that caused new scare tissue. About 4" deep inside the vaginal canal I have now severe tissue restriction, and for about 1/2 depth I have an opening left that just allows my middle finger to pass through. I am now officially diagnosed with vaginal stenosis. I either have to dilate very hard to slowly stretch this tissue, or I have to be happy with a 4" depth vagina, and find me a man who would be happy with this.
But I am not giving up yet, because behind the restriction, I can feel a larger open space, the remainder of my almost 7" deep vaginal canal.
I had to buy a new set of dilators with really small ones, that were made to tackle vaginal stenosis. I have to dilate twice a day, and this is very painful. The lubricant I use in the morning is organic coconut oil, and in the evening I use vaginal estrogen cream as lubricant. I really hope to get the opening wide enough pretty soon to be able to work on my depth again, and not lose to much of it. who would have thoughten that a skin sac turned into a make shift vagina could cause that many painful problems!
