Hey gang, ran across this article on CNN and thought... how lovely...I must share this :) . It’s the latest reviews for matte lipstick and ones that won’t come off on your mask.

I've got like 6 colors of the Maybelline super stay, which is their best budget pick. Not perfect but it doesn't all come off on mask

This is why I’ve just started using the M1 90 white mask instead..... I have stain to put a few of my masks Inside. Frankly I just forgot I had the lipstick on when I went outside. When I planned the trip I just don’t use the 💄. Good article thanks

From day one using lipstick, I always used the liquid brush on types that are touted to last 24 hours. Well , 12 hours is a more realistic time. They do not transfer to masks or anything like this.
But these days, I hardly use anything, including lipstick, at all.
Moisterizer onto the face, and I am done for the day.
With my new hairdo, my forehead is covered by bangs, the lower part of the face is covered by a mask, and all that is left to be seen, are my eye section . And that is done permanently. I just slap some mascara on, and I am ready for the day.

Hugs

Idk, I just love lipstick. I got the permanent lip color but still like trying different shades and types. Liquid, stick, gloss, stains ... etc etc. doesn’t matter.

My friend Lyn is like a lipstick witch - meaning I just marvel at her technique whenever we’re hanging out. Yes... I have done my best to copy it 😉. Her fault for being so dang good at it lol.

I can understand all those who choose not to wear it with all the mask wearing, but tbh I don’t wear my lipstick for others. It’s just because I like it - no other reason really. Just thought of all this because I was cleaning receipts out of my purse and realized I had 5 sticks of lipstick 💄 in there. Maybe that’s a problem 🤷‍♀️. Maybe I’ll sneak into a lipstick anonymous meeting 😏

Em

Edit: Was just thinking about this. Actually with the masks, it’s allowed me to be much bolder in trying new shades than I normally would be. Hmmm...just a random thought I had.

Em, I never thought about this with the color experiments and the masks. I was told by my friend Sandy, the beautician and cosmetic person that I seem to have talent for doing makeup and lipstick, etc.
But I am pretty conservative in my colir selection and go mostly for all shades and varieties of pink. Lipstick , finger and toe nails are normally color coordinated with me. But as you say, the masks give room for experiments.

Make up should be fun. I mean I'm not going to wear deep purple lipstick to a funeral, but otherwise why not? I suck at apply it though, especially bolder colors for some reason.

I love the Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink. I've been using it for a few years now. It stays all day, when everyone else around is refreshing their traditional lipstick every hour or so. I hope they will come up with a glossy colorstay ink someday. I haven't looked lately but I have yet to fine a glossy that stays all day.
