First time coming out when I was 16,I was nervous. My parents saw something was wrong with me,it was coming out of the closet about it.It was finally one day they asked me if we could have a talk and said sure.Went into my room and closed the door and it was a good talk.Asked me what it is and told them it is who I am.Finally said there were times I want to dress as female and some other days I want to dress as male.Told them I have fought this for a long time since I was 10 years old. Both listened to me and were proud of me coming out about this. They did find help for me too, found me a gender specialist that diagnosed me as gender fluid.I was glad to get answers and they were too learning about me.My two younger brothers, they got the news I am genderfluid. It was the first time I decided to dress as Allison for the day.Told them I have never been like them and it took them some time to come to terms I am this way.

I am so envious that you could come out at such an early age and gain the support of your parents Allison! I came out to my mother at 4 and again at 7 years old, and she made me swear never to tell anyone else because she knew my father would throw me out, and I would not survive. I came out to my first wife at 22, and my second at 46, and both swore me to secrecy, and both divorced me in the end anyway.

Your brothers just needed time to accept, probably the same as you did. I am looking forward to more of your story, and to maybe meet you one day in our zooms. I like your name, it was very close to being mine at one stage!

Hugs,

Allie

Parents told me to give my brothers time to accept it.It was a fight before I came out. After coming out, other family members met me as Allison for the first time, was at an aunt's wedding. Was great, said I looked pretty as a girl and saw I was completely happy for the first time

It is.My family learned well to use the pronouns she,her and herself when I am as Allison.Mom is happy too,she considers Allison a daughter in her life.Gave birth to sons and always wanted a daughter.I still remember what I wore at that wedding,a dark navy knee length dress and a pair of wedges.Had my nails done too.Did my hair too brushing it out including make up.Was a spring wedding.

That sounds like such fun, Allison. I went to my sons wedding and he introduced me as his Mom to some friends. I'll always remember that. He never does that.

It was fun, other family members noticed I was not like most of my brothers and male cousins, tough and masculine
