For fellow animists, I swear I have. Just walking home one night & I get this warm feeling. Hear something speaking to me. Any similar experiences?

Now, I am not an animist, but you brought up the topic about seeing spirits. I have seen the spirit of a woman that died in a house I was living in. That was not very scary.

What was scary was one night when I was with my ex. I had his pitbull puppy on a leash while he collected eucalyptus leaves we were to use to get rid of fleas in our apartment. The puppy started growling and barking. I looked down at the pup, and then in the direction the pup was barking at. There stood a black figure with 4 glowing red eyes that sank into the ground as soon as I laid eyes on it.

I had never seen a shadow creature or demon before. To have one be afraid of me made me feel protected by the armor of God. It was one of those moments that confirmed some of the crazy stories from the Bible that even most ministers do not believe in.

I’ve seen people that I felt certain were inhabited by evil spirits, but have never seen any kind of spirit that manifested itself visibly.

I've witnessed both, but I don't think what you saw was the spirit of the woman who lived there previously Sarah. I guess this now puts me in the fruitcake category.

Many years ago now, I shared a home with another family. One late night, I was woken up by the sound of a young girl crying. I looked out my bedroom door to see a young girl in her nightgown walking down the hallway. I thought she was a friend of the youngest daughter, spending the night with her. I asked the young girl what was the matter? She stopped crying and turned to look at me, and then continued down the hallway and into the kitchen. She seemed to be ok after that so I didn't think much of it, and went back to bed.

The next morning at breakfast, I asked the family who the young girl was that spent the night. The mother then looked at me with eyes wide open in surprise, and told me her previous boyfriend had seen the same young girl one night. We later learned that the whole neighborhood might have been built on an Indian burial ground from the late 1800's. There was no such person in the house that night. This young girl seemed so real to me that it didn't even dawn on me that I could have been seeing something unusual.

At that time, none of us knew anyone had died in the house. My adoptive father actually had to go through records related to the property to discover that a woman that lived there fell asleep on a couch while smoking a cigarette. That cigarette caught the couch on fire, and killed her.

Hi Sarah. That is not what I meant. I am not doubting what you said. I just don't believe it was the woman.
