Hi Allie,

I am not sure how I missed that since I did go look for it and even searched the site based on text snippets, thanks for the pointer.

I agree that being post op would also have given me that bit of extra confidence, but my message is about that not being a must, that much is possible even if we are not perfect and that true affection between people (!) will not let itself be limited by things that can be talked about, weighed in and then be built into the implicit contract any relationship is and has to be to be "true".

As you can see from my own thread from 2 days ago, the love and the penis one, there might still be crises that arise from being preop, but again, I grew so much as Marie from having that crisis and can now accept myself so much more wholly than only 3 days ago that I would again say, had I not "gone hunting", I would be much less happy and much less Marie now.

Hugs,
Marie

Marie, congratulations that you found your soul mate.
I tried a few time with online dating, and met a few nice ladies. I seem to lean more to cis women, because I am very lesbian oriented.
However, each time I revealed that I am a preop intersex woman, my potential partners stopped having contact with me.

This negative experience made me to withdraw from any dating activities. It is sure not good for my soul to be rejected just because I still have the results of genital mutilations done to me as an infant, it hurts a lot.

Once I will be fixed next year, I might consider to look into dating again.
I think this entire wrong genital thing is so delicate and different with each individual that one cannot make any blanket statements.

@Marie62 I do agree with your comment on it being about not being limited by things that can be talked about and agreed on as part of a relationship. I quizzed D multiple times to confirm she was cool with me being preop because that was and is a point of huge insecurity for me. Her emphatic response was always "I don't care about that" and eventually that gave me enough confidence to move beyond "Second Base" with her. It has taken a long time to become comfortable with being preop me and I know D's acceptance played a big part in that.
I also know that everyone is different in how they deal with their body so it is really about what you are ready for and nothing else. Most importantly your level of acceptance for yourself is nothing to be ashamed of or disappointed about, we are all works in process.

The result is strong enough that other world leaders have publicly congratulated the Biden Haris Democrat team. I know there will be challenges, but think of the next 4 years!

Congratulations to all the Biden Harris supporters!

Now the red/blue coloring of the US map looks right again, the way it was most of the time.
Georgia is a newcomer in the blue coloring, but Ohio used to be blue, and is red now.

Wow! What a difference! I slept like a baby last night. This has to be the first time in almost 4 years. I didn't reallize just how much the past 4 years have affected me until the results of yesterday's events. I must say, it is like that overwhelming euphoric feeling of calm that comes over you once estradiol kicks in. A huge release of tension and anxiety. I feel like doing some cleaning in here and kicking the furniture around a little in preparation for posting in here again. I need a comfy chair to sit with my laptop and contemplate the next steps in my life. Small steps but moving forward.

Hugs!

So my electrolysis (Gladys) is telling me we are in a phase she calls "search and kill" (aka maintenance mode?), so I'm now on a 3 week interval for bottom hair removal. I have been on 2 week intervals for some time now. My next bottom session (next week), she will put me on a monthly interval, which she tells me is the final stretch. Gladys is certainly doing her job, sending me home bloody and beat up after each session, I just seem to have a few stragglers that are as stubborn as I am lol. ( I must have gotten that from my bullheaded father ). Meanwhile, I'm still keeping up weekly with facial hair removal in between bottom sessions.

It seems like forever since I last contacted my GCS care coordinator, so out of fear of falling through the cracks and being forgotten, I sent off another email this morning to him with an HNT update. Being almost mid November already, I think, realistically, my GCS won't happen until early next year, unless Gladys surprises me and tells me I'm ready now. I will say, things are looking pretty clear down there now, and have been for quite a while. I can't see much of anything left to remove, which is a big positive boost to my morale.

Hugs!

We are both in the same boat My Friend. No HNT for me down there until December which is a relief and a disappointment. Relief because it hurts like hell at random times during treatments and disappointment because I have to wait for random follicles to show themselves or not o_O
Not knowing is the worst part, if there were a date you would be done by it would be bearable but it's an unknown.
Wish you the Best💖

I just got home from another HNT session and look what I found in my mailbox. I've been published . It has been a long time in writing and editing. I submitted my story over a year ago. Volume 2 will be coming out sometime next year.

Donica's Journey.jpg

It's a series of stories from LGBT elderly folks, navigating today's world in the LGBTQIA+ community. You'll find a brief history of my journey on page 72. My story is a bit too long to post here. Most of you have already read the long version of my journey anyway. I can break it up into smaller portions for your reading if anyone is interested.

So I just learned how to share files here ( I think? ). Let's see how this works. So at Moni's request, here is a link to the brief story I submitted to to Transgender Publishing. I can see how much my writing skills have improved over the years since I first began this journey. Tell me what you all think. Be honest.

Thank you Nicole. I left out a lot of the juicy stuff, most of which can be found here, and on SP. Glad to call you friend too.

Interesting Read My Friend. I even learned a few things that I had no know before because, well they were not topics that came up or I suspect we felt were important at the time. Regardless great job and makes me feel that much more blessed to be you friend 💖
