I am not sure how I missed that since I did go look for it and even searched the site based on text snippets, thanks for the pointer.
I agree that being post op would also have given me that bit of extra confidence, but my message is about that not being a must, that much is possible even if we are not perfect and that true affection between people (!) will not let itself be limited by things that can be talked about, weighed in and then be built into the implicit contract any relationship is and has to be to be "true".
As you can see from my own thread from 2 days ago, the love and the penis one, there might still be crises that arise from being preop, but again, I grew so much as Marie from having that crisis and can now accept myself so much more wholly than only 3 days ago that I would again say, had I not "gone hunting", I would be much less happy and much less Marie now.
