I did not have to get a full lab done for the surgery. My old lab was about 3 month ago, and must have been good for them.

It's starting to get pretty real now. I just got a phone call from Plastic Surgery. They just filled my calendar with 5 more appointments, all starting in the beginning of May. This reminds me of how busy the month of my FFS was (Donica begins shaking nervously while crouching in the corner).

1: Follow-up with PCP.
2: GCS Pre-op.
3: Care coordinator nurse follow-op (Forgot this one).
4: Follow-up with same endo I butted heads with last week (Maybe it was something I said?).
5: Anesthesiology Pre-op.
6: Covid Test 24 to 72 hours before surgery.
7: Surgery.
8: It's a girl! (Hospital stay, two days)
9: GCS Follow-up (They pull the plug and insert a new one, 7 days Post-op).
10: Last GCS Follow-up. (14 days Post-op)

All on different days. Actually, 9 and 10 happen in the first week of June. Is this a test of wills? I hope they don't ask me to see my Cardiologist again like last time . I wasn't feeling the crunch until todays call, loading up my calendar with all these appointments in one month. I have the whole month of April to rest before mayhem is let out of it's cage. It looks like I'm going to need it. (I know I can! I know I can! I know I can! o_O).

Hugs!
Donica I know something you can do that might actually help you with your post-op. If you haven't done it already maybe you get start some sort of workout program. Nothing major...just maybe some walking or you could even run down to your local fire department and practice carrying those CPR dummies out of burning houses or something like that. Their training doesn't look like it would be too awful hard.

But being in good physical condition will help your body recover from that little ol' surgery you're getting ready to endure.

Thank you Alexis. Yes I'm sure it's not that hard o_O. Why I bet I could even teach the fire persons a thing or two. Move over hun! I'm comin through. Either pick up a hose or get out of the way. I got people to rescue :ROFLMAO:.

I suppose if you get tired with all that training you could be the replacement CPR mannequin. When they bend down to blow those three breathes you could latch onto them. hahaha

Danica it looks like you’re in the fast lane. All these surgeries coming up I’m so excited for you. I’m sure your nerves will get the best of you at some point but it’s going to be so well worth it.

Thank you @NicoleT. Yes I'm sure my nerves will frazzle and start smoking the closer I get to V-Day. BTW! Just a curious thought hun, the "A" is on the opposite side of the keyboard from the "O"?. Love ya!

It has been 5 and a half hours since my second moderna shot. I have to admit I was worried about the side effects, being so close to my GCS. The vaccine should be at strength by the 3rd of May, which is when mayhem is let out of his cage. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that I don't start feeling any nasty side effects so close to my GCS. I will most likely have a clearer picture on the effects of the second covid-19 vaccination in the morning. So far all is good 😎

It's been almost 24 hours since my second Moderna shot. I suppose if any bad side effects were going to happen, they would have happened by now. I really don't feel any different. All is good.

On another note! I'm feeling an increased sense of urgency to complete all the task leading up to GCS. The chaos begins in just 17 days, and 36 days until VJ day.

You had the same luck I had with Moderna!
Those 37 days seem to be a long time, but let me assure you, they will fly by like nothing. And all of a sudden, you are on the cutting table, and will be prepared for a nice long sleep. Once you wake up, you will look different between your legs, and you have to think about the dreadful dilation.
I am headding for 5 weeks post op, and I start to get some more positive feeling sensations from some dilations.

37days! I've got to wait 84 days for my second Astra Zenica jab. I had the first at the end of March.

The misspellings, the...A for the ..O..I’m just gonna quit apologizing for it. Most of my replies on here are done via dictation not everything comes out correct. I’ve had this conversation with a few different people. I’m not an idiot I just play one on the Internet. (OK maybe I am an idiot)

Hey good luck on this upcoming surgery I know you’re going to get more nervous as time gets closer SO....
....🤞“Hoping this is the most uneventful ...easiest surgery & recovery of your life.” ( said while raising a toast)

Hugs
Nicole

Well, so that's it then. Vaccination complete. I should be at full strength as of today, for what it's worth. I'm so glad cuz now I can get my hair and nails done in less fear. And mama wants to go shopping for a new dress.

My GCS pre-op is this Friday. It's getting close to V day. Just 23 more days. I kinda wish they were keeping me in the hospital the full 7 days. Not that I like hospital stays, but this is going to be hell leaving after just 2 days, dealing with the tubes, bags, and packing. I'm not looking forward to the drive back and forth with all that in tow. I ordered some medical supplies and a donut for the coming venture, which should be arriving tomorrow. Until all this happens, mama's gonna stay home in self quarantine and no unnecessary outside contact until after surgery. More updates coming very soon.

Hugs!

It's good that your vaccination is all done now.
As for your looming surgery, it's a strange feeling isn't it?! My top surgery is not long after your bottom surgery and the excitement is building with all plans being made in the context of the upcoming surgery. Your surgery is much bigger than mine, so all the best! And look after those tubes, etc!
Hugs,

I stayed in the hospital for 7 days, I would not have wanted to drive back and forth, and I don't think that you can drive a care anyway after only wo days. In fact, after the 14 days when I went back home, I would not have wanted to drive, and was very happy that Amber did all the driving. I think you better make sure that you have a dedicated driver around.
I never would have thought that one could have so many hurting spots between ones legs!

Donica,

I have to agree with Linde. I don't think you will want to drive anywhere 2 days after surgery. I had my catheter pulled out yesterday (6 days post surgery) and my wife drove. I had a problem with my catheter that made me have to pee so bad it was painful. I had to down oxycodone like candy. They told me it was probably due to scar tissue in my urethra from the radiation, but I was in no condition to drive. We stayed local to the hospital and came home today. My wife drove again. I might have made it today, but I sure wouldn't have wanted to.

Hugs,
Mike

Yes thank you Mike and Linde! I truly appreciate your concerns. Believe me I understand the importance of having caregivers. Kaiser would never allow this without home care in place. As I have mentioned, both Ava and Dianna will be taking care of me during my recovery. They will also be the go to for recovery updates in my absence.
