Do you put on make up even if no one will see you?

I decided I was off yesterday, I was gonna do nothing with hair or makeup. No one but my sons were gonna see me. I was wondering if any other recluses feel better with makeup even if home alone. I seem to be peppier and a little brighter when I tame the beast that is me. What about you?

I REALLY need to start doing that. Makeup hasn't become a full time part of my life...yet. But I need to change that. The day that I had my court date for my name change a friend was supposed to come up and do my makeup...but she stood me up. (She got mad at me because I refused to write some of the papers that were due for her college classes. I was honestly appalled that she'd cheat in college that way.) So since I wouldn't do her school work she screwed me over on the most important date of my life.

So I had to do my makeup all by myself, even though I was terrified I'd mess it all up. But as you can see on my avatar picture I think I did a decent job. It's most definitely NOT how I'd like it to be on a daily basis though.

I say that because I absolutely LOVE the smokey eye look and once I can learn how to do that I'll always have smokey eyes on.

I wake up with makeup on, because my eyeliner and brows are permanent. I always put moisturizer on, and if I go outside I put some colored sunscreen on.

I usually don't, but that is a matter of me having to be ready to pretend to be a guy at any hour during the business day. Once I am out to my employer I will probably start wearing makeup on a regular basis. But I know that I won't bother with it on days when my appearance just isn't very important (i.e. weekends, holidays, etc.).

I haven't used makeup since mask-wearing became mandatory. Before that, I'd wear makeup when going out, but not at home.

Makeup only when going out to meet others, and then only lightly! I suspect it might become more routine post Covid.

Hugs,

Allie

It’s like saying why do you paint you toe nails when there covered up. You just do. It’s part of life

I usually at least do eye liner and lipstick and before masks a tinted moisturizer or foundation. Skip the foundation mostly now.
