I recently found Kimberly Beregrove's videos, many of which focus on being a transgender Christian. This video she published today is pretty good and worth listening to. I personally don't hold any respect for John MacArthur, but she points out some very important flaws in his assertion that transgender people are not deserving of salvation by grace through faith.

We've had some chats, and I will be having a phone conversation with her later today. I don't think she has any interest in participating on the forum, as she is OTR driver, and rarely has time or ability to write, but does engage I phone and video calls. Maybe she'd want to join a Zoom call or something sometime.

Deuteronomy 23:1
He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord.

Injured veterans, persons assaulted and maimed, eunuchs not allowed.

Nice interpretation.

I am amused at how some people pick and choose just which rules they’ll follow. I wonder if they are also requiring Ancestry.com checks to verify no Ammonite or Moabite ancestors. Let’s not even get started on nocturnal emissions!

But but . . then It obviously depends on who one reads (lol one can forgive the implication of the ending pun?)

Isaiah 56: . . let not the eunuch say,
“Behold, I am a dry tree.”
4 For thus says the LORD:
“To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths,
who choose the things that please me
and hold fast my covenant,
5 I will give in my house and within my walls
a monument and a name
better than sons and daughters;
I will give them an everlasting name
that shall not be cut off

Yea yet given the historical function of the "King's eunuch" . .
Lesbians need not apply?
(joking! 'nonfertility' is all that really mattered)

It's chief origin meaning is "to guard" (but not just women?)
" .(today) . . it is mostly used metaphorically, in the sense "an ineffectual man." In ancient times, however, the eunuchs who served powerful people were often far from being ineffectual. Since they were privy to the personal lives of ruling families and had the opportunity to acquire politically and financially useful information, some eunuchs amassed enormous personal fortunes and rose to positions of great power and responsibility . . "

As "an interpreter" between the rulers, the priestly class, and "the masses"?

@michaela eunuchs became widely adopted as official servants and guardians of women due to their reproductive ineffectiveness. The term of ineffectual was in reference to reproductive capability. They could not overthrow a ruler and install their own children as heirs to a kingdom or empire. They posed no threat to family bloodlines, which were the prevailing manner in which empires were ruled. Eunuchs tended to be well educated, sometimes by force, since they did not have families to care for. They devoted their time to studying a variety of things that were of value to the people they served, sometimes willingly or sometimes against their will. This made them astute advisors to rulers.
