I know you are still in the operating room and will see this maybe tomorrow, but it will take a few hours for the oestrogen to kick back in! I do feel better after a sleep in a real bed!!!

Kenna finished surgery sometime around 9 pm last night and she is doing reasonably well. She had some bouts of vomiting through the night and it is expected with such a long anaesthesia. The procedure involved surgery around her eyes, which she can't quite close, so they put a protective gel on the open section, effectively stopping her from seeing anything clearly, so she won't be able to post anything for a day! The plan is still to go home tomorrow, but the recovery time will be long.

Thanks for the update on Kenna, Allie. Sounds almost identical to my eyes post-op. I couldn't see a thing for over two weeks.

Kenna is Home! Still has a sore head, and limited vision due to medication to protect her eyes, but can safely get around her house. The operation went for 8 hours, and didn't finish until 10 pm! Bandages are off and all the usual swelling and stitches are visible. We will see how she progresses in the next days!

Ow! Yes, insanely uncomfortable, but in the long run I think most of us are just happy with the results and forget about the short period of discomfort. Of course, in my case being loopy from anesthesia and the pain meds means I don't remember that part!

Ah Yes! I remember! 3 days of (... well, I don't remember how many vomit bags...) "What the H did I get myself into?" But then life was good again.

Yes I'm in my second day at home after a couple of nights sleeping in a recliner. I can sort of see OK even with the ointment in my eyes and can read text on screen without too much effort if I enlarge it. Lots of aches and soreness and uncomfortable eyes, not helped by the white of my left eye being totally bloody. I'm also taking lots of naps. Beneath a lot of swelling I think that everything is looking good. I'll see how I feel in a few hours and possibly drop into the zoom for a little bit to scare you all with my looks.

Simply put, I bet you do feel like crap. Number one priority is rest, so cut down on the dancing naked on the table tops with the lampshade on your head and sleep more. You wild Aussie you!

No lampshade but the dressing on my head for a couple of nights was like a full face helmet. No naked dancing either, but a nice long shower with a lovely young nurse who unmatted my hair.

Hopefully the sutures will come out tomorrow! I should feel a lot better then.

Tough part of the surgery is over. Now comes the part where it just keeps improving every day. Although I am quite disappointed in you, that you didn’t get to dance with the lampshade. I’m still going to hold you to having to dance naked at some point. I guess you can wait until you’re fully healed. Lol...

Oh wow, yes! I had to cut out a big chunk of hair in the back. Then again I had all kinds of dried blood in it from my emergency surgery after my FFS. I do not envy anyone with nose or face surgery. I'd rather have my penis cut off. Oh sorry, too graphic? Probably! Anyway, hope the nose goes well. That's two votes for you dancing naked. Do we have a second?
