Hi All,
here's me, having spent half of my life claiming to ~only~ be passionate about computers, electronics and microcontrollers and then - wham - Marie hits me on the head and says that baking is where it's at! And I have to give it to her, she knows! - Ever since I started about 4 months ago, I have not seen a weekend with less than 2 cakes being baked and have sadly had ample opportunity to eat them alone and watch my bathroom scale explode ... 🗜
Nevermind, when I suggested to my therapist that I love baking cakes because they are my very own little pregnancies and that I just adore getting all the ingredients ready and mixed together, to push the doe into the oven (this is graphic, I know!), watch it grow and mature and then taking it out of the oven, still hot and so lovely and to then consume it, she nodded in approval. - There you have it, all you pregnancy deprived ladies, go and bake your own! It IS gratifying, I swear!
So, this one just came out of the oven and it is an Apple Oatmeal cake, more like an Apple Oatmeal Snack cake, meaning with smoother doe and with much less apples. The frosting is "fresh", so still transparent but it actually is quite thick and very, very cinnamon sugary, yum!

I followed an old recipe I still knew from my grandma, but it is pretty close to this one I found on the web.
Hugs,
Marie
