Older, sexually inactive women can have some really unusual vulva/vaginal problems. My clit was hurting and spotting a bit for a couple of month. My ob/gyn prescribed Premarin to be put onto the sore areas every second day. It did not get better, so I decided to see the gynecology specialists at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fl.
I was there yesterday, and was seen by a team of a urogynecologist, and a surgical gynecologist. Both younger females, and that made me feel good, because most gynecologists are older men, and I think sometimes they don't get it how female parts feel and react!
Anyway, they discovered that about 4 cm of my labia were fused together, and created a pocket between the vestibule of the vulva, and this grown together labia skin. Part of this pocket created a flap over the urethra exit, and some urine got collected inside this pocket. The constant presence of urine caused the mucous membrane of the clit to be inflamed constantly, causing the observed problems. This can also happen to older cis women, and is not neo-vulva specific. The solution is some small surgery to separate the labia again, and eliminate this pocket.
They also took a look at my vaginal canal that has severe stenosis caused by tissue granulation, and felt that I could get this normal again by doing the same dilation routine cis women with a similar problem do. A revision surgery may not be required. Now I have to wait for my surgery date. I hope that everything is fixed and ready in time if the man I am currently dating, and I would e ready to use these parts.

On the positive side, the surgeon knew about me, because she uses some special kind of surgical technique, developed by me.
And I will not have to undergo pregnancy tests anymore, because my records have been changed into "postmenopausal intersex woman", and I was seen for postmenopausal vulva bleeding!

As unfortunate as these problems are, I am happy to hear that the initial concerns of cancer have been determined not to be cancerous.

Yes, cancer is fully out of the picture. what I have is a relatively harmless tissue fusion.
I was really afraid that it could have been cancer. The idea of getting my hardly used clit cut off, was not that enchanting.
Instead, I get now an even more fashionable version of a designer vulva. One of their specialties is aesthetic female genital surgery. Probably could become a front cover model of some porn magazine?
