Our forum member Tallulah Breslin, who is a voice consultant who brings her background as a speech language pathologist to gender expressive voice training, will provide us with the opportunity to get feedback on your voice, and talk about practice techniques to help you be more comfortable.

Presenters at the event will be Ashley Taylor (she/they), LGBTQ+ affirming mental health specialist, and she is joining co-hosts Tallulah Breslin (she/her), SLP and Kari McClure Meissner (she/her), SLP to facilitate a discussion with community members.

The topic will be: navigating vocal dysphoria during voice practice and conversation. They plan to discuss the differences in ease of using your developing voice with both strangers and those who already know the sound of your habitual voice, as well as strategies to help work through these challenges.
All individuals who are working on their voices are welcome to join our supportive community meetups. They provide a safe, inclusive space to ask questions and receive feedback and support on your voice journey.

This meeting will be a Facebook event, and can be found under this link

Aw, thank you for sharing @Linde! I'm excited about Ashley coming to join- she's fantastic. We're going to do our more typical voice practice stuff for the first 30 minutes, then we're going to talk about working through dysphoria for the second half.

The event is Tuesday, March 30th at 6:30 pm - 7:45 pm central standard time.

See y'all then!
